Description
This is the til laddu most people picture when they hear the name. White sesame roasted until it turns golden and starts to smell nutty, jaggery melted down beside it, whole roasted peanuts folded through, and the whole thing rolled by hand while it is still warm enough to hold its shape.
Three ingredients. Made by Savita Devi in our kitchen in Raipur, in small weekly batches. No refined sugar, no maida, no palm oil, no preservatives, no artificial colour or flavour. Sealed the morning it is made and shipped anywhere in India.
( three ingredients )
That is the entire list
| White sesame seeds (safed til) | 45% |
| Jaggery (gud) | 33% |
| Roasted peanuts (moongphali) | 22% |
Nothing else is added.
Allergen information — contains sesame seeds and groundnut (peanut). Made in a kitchen that also handles wheat (gluten), milk, tree nuts and soy. If anyone in your home has a peanut or sesame allergy, please do not order this one.
What is not in the pack
No refined sugar. No palm oil. No maida. No preservatives. No artificial colour. No artificial flavour. No glucose syrup. Nothing added to make it keep longer — which is why we roll it in small batches and ship it fresh instead.
( the texture )
Peanuts folded through, not sprinkled on
Break one open and you will see whole roasted peanuts sitting right through the middle, not pressed onto the outside as decoration. That is where the crunch comes from, and it is the reason this laddu holds together without any flour or binder.
The jaggery is cooked to a soft-crack, not a hard one. You get a proper bite that gives way — never the rock-hard laddu that makes you worry about your teeth.
( safed or kala )
Two tils, one recipe philosophy
We make til laddu in both sesames. They are genuinely different sweets, not the same thing in two colours.
| Safed Til Laddu | Kala Til Laddu | |
|---|---|---|
| Sesame | White (safed til) | Black (kala til) |
| Ingredients | Three — with roasted peanut | Two — sesame and jaggery only |
| Taste | Nutty, crunchy, sweeter | Deep, smoky, less sweet |
| Contains peanut | Yes | No |
| Best for | Children, gifting, first-timers | Anyone who finds most sweets too sweet |
If you have never had black sesame, it is worth trying once — our Kala Til Laddu is the two-ingredient version, with no peanut in it at all.
( the sweet season )
The til sweet that marks the turn of the sun
Makar Sankranti, Lohri, Pongal, Uttarayan — different names, same week in January, and til and gud on every table. It is the one sweet that shows up in almost every part of India at the same moment.
- For Sankranti and Lohri. The 800 g pack is what people order to share, and to send home.
- With morning chai. Two laddu, one cup. This is how most packs actually get finished.
- For children. Sweet, crunchy, and no refined sugar — an easier yes than a chocolate bar.
- In a lunchbox or a bag. Ready to eat, no cutlery, does not melt or leak.
- As a gift. Sealed, cushioned and gift-ready in all three sizes.
( choose your size )
Three packs, the same three ingredients
Try it first. About a week of chai, or a small gift to send along with something else.
The family pack. What most households reorder once they have tried it.
Best value per piece, and the one people buy for Sankranti and for gifting.

Storage and shelf life
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
- Reseal the pack tightly after opening and finish within 15 days for the best crunch.
- Do not refrigerate. Cold sets the jaggery hard and the laddu loses its bite.
- Best before 4 months from the date of manufacture, printed on every pack.
- Ready to eat. Nothing to heat, soak or prepare.
( how it reaches you )
Made to order, sealed for transit
- Rolled in small batches, never warehoused. Your pack is made close to the day it ships.
- Tamper-evident seal, cushioned to arrive whole. Laddu are fragile; we pack for the courier, not for the shelf.
- FSSAI licensed kitchen — Lic. No. 20520079003204.
- Pure vegetarian. No dairy, no egg, no gelatin in the recipe.

( our story )
Rolled by hand, in Raipur
Savita Kitchen started at my mother’s stove. She has been making these laddu for thirty years — first for the family, then for neighbours who kept asking, and now for homes across India. The recipe has not changed and the hands have not changed.
Each batch is roasted, rolled and sealed by us. Orders leave the kitchen within 24 hours, so what reaches you is close to what came off the stove.
